Why you need Multiple Landing Pages

Multiple Landing PagesIt is difficult for your company website to be specific to the requirements of the prospects searching for you.

No matter how well designed and how comprehensive, people are searching for very specific information and won’t usually take the time to “browse” your website any longer unless they see exactly what they are looking for within a few seconds of arriving at that page.

To overcome this, there are 2 approaches we recommend you implement:

1. Create separate Landing Pages for each Product, Service and Location on your main business website. Each page has to be narowly focused and keyword rich with the search terms your potential customers are looking for. An example would be a business with multiple locations or outlets. Create a page for each location and use the location name in text multiple times in the page (ensuring it makes sense to a real person). DO NOT use the same text on every location page or simply change the location name – these pages will be seen as duplicates by Google and will not be indexed so they won’t appear in searches. Write something interesting and unique about that particular location and your products and services in that area. Be sure to create links from these pages back to other location pages and the main page, and of course create links to all locations from your main page.

2. Create new, separate websites or blogs. We recommend Blog (CMS) technology as the easiest to setup and manage. Register a domain name relevant to the search term you are targeting and create a new Landing Page for this site which provides valuable, interesting and free information to people searching for the terms you are targeting. Update this content regularly with new articles, eBooks, Reports etc. All of the content should be relevant to the keywords and search terms you are targeting. DO NOT try to sell heavily on these websites or you will lose engagement with your prospects. You can link from these websites back to your main business website if the prospect is interested in buying something. You can create as many separate Landing Pages (or mini-websites) as you like, each targeted at a specific search phrase.

These strategies will help the SEO of your main business website and will also help to position you, or your company as the experts in your field.
